Christmas singalong

December 21, 2007 at 12:06 pm | Posted in family | 1 Comment

we had our 2nd annual Christmas singalong last night with our small groups (Michelle’s girls and families, and my guys and families — there’s a bunch of overlap). and of course there were kids running around everywhere, which was a lot of fun. it’s times like that that make us glad to have a bunch of play areas in the house.

after a little while of snacking and such, we got out the instruments, which this year involved guitar (Mark, Joe, me), mandolin (me), violin (Sara), snare drum (Josh), ukulele (Caleb) and a bunch of percussive stuff (a bunch of the kids…starring Aiden especially). it was a ton of fun belting out the classics together. I worked up the nerve to sing my little Christmas song, and people seemed to like it, which was nice. I dont know how much everyone else likes to sing and play together, but to me it’s one of the major highlights of the season, and I hope we can do it every year.

  1. I love singing and being with good friends too. I simply love Christmastime, and this is definitely my favorite of our celebrations. I’m so glad you sang your song last night too huns. I love it, and thought you did well.
